Brief
Biography of Dr. Serge Raynaud de la Ferriere
Philosopher, humanist and
mystic, of a universal character, was born in Paris,
France in 1918 an died in Nice in 1962.
During the short course of
his life he always struggled towards the unification
of humanity, without disticntion of race, creed,
gender, and economic/social condition, with the
hope of establishing a better world; a world united
by Wisdom, and characterized by Peace, Tolerance,
and Truth.
With the purpose of fulfilling
his ideal of a better world, he founded the cultural,
civil, organization the “Universal Great Brotherhood”
whose main office is in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1948.
During his unceasing struggle
for Peace, he traveled around the world, presenting
more than 25000 conferences, and wrote about 100
books (some which have not yet been published),
as well as having established many branches of the
Universal Great Brotherhood throughout different
continents: America, Europe, Asia, Australia…..
Yoga was one of his main
interests as of an early age, cultivating it until
his last days. He was known in India as the Mahatma
Chandra Bala, he had four principle followers who
assumed the responsibility of maintaining the ideal
of this noble institution : The Universal Great
Broterhood.
